Kids Creative Art Workshops
Art by Chelsea Anne offers weekly kids’ art classes, homeschool art sessions and school holiday workshops in North Wonthaggi on the Bass Coast, Victoria.
Our sessions are designed to help children become confident, independent creatives.
Every child arrives with different interests, strengths and ways of learning. Rather than following a one-size-fits-all program, each session is adapted to support the individual while gently extending their confidence and creative skills.
Through drawing, painting, mixed media and creative exploration, students develop more than artistic techniques. They learn observation, problem-solving, resilience and confidence they can carry into every creative challenge.
Whether it’s a place in one of our small group sessions, or you’d like to discuss our one-on-one tuition, request a weekly session below, and we’ll be in touch soon.
Tell us your preferred days, and we’ll be in touch to discuss options for your child.
Our Creative Coaching Approach
Every child is different, and so is the way they learn.
Rather than following a one-size-fits-all method, our sessions are adapted to support each student’s interests, abilities, learning style and confidence level. Some children benefit from seeing a technique demonstrated, others learn best by creating alongside someone, while some simply need the encouragement to trust their own ideas and abilities.
Through drawing, painting, mixed media and creative exploration, students are encouraged to observe, experiment, ask questions, solve problems and discover solutions for themselves. Along the way, they build practical artistic skills alongside confidence, resilience and creative independence.
The goal isn’t simply to create beautiful artwork - it’s to help children develop the confidence, curiosity and creative thinking to approach future projects with enthusiasm and self-belief.
Sometimes the most valuable session isn’t about finishing an artwork - it’s about giving a child the confidence to begin one.
Building Skills That Last Beyond One Artwork
Every artwork becomes an opportunity to build skills that children can carry into every future creative challenge.
Rather than memorising a series of steps, students learn how to observe, simplify complex subjects, recognise shapes and proportions, identify reference points and solve creative problems in a way that suits their own learning style.
As their confidence grows, these skills become tools they can apply whether they’re drawing an animal, creating an original character or experimenting with a completely new medium.
Because the goal isn’t simply to finish today’s artwork.
It’s to help children develop the confidence and understanding to create tomorrow’s on their own.
Why Families Value This Approach
Parents often tell us they notice growth that reaches far beyond the artwork itself.
Our sessions encourage children to:
Think creatively and solve problems independently
Develop patience and resilience when something doesn’t go to plan
Build confidence by making their own creative decisions
Learn to experiment without fearing mistakes
Develop observation skills they can apply to any subject
Discover their own creative voice instead of simply copying someone else’s
